The Project

Since 1979

In 1979, Carlos Esteva decided to go live on his grandfather’s farm, Can Ràfols dels Caus. A country house of Roman origin in the middle of the Massís del Garraf and a few kilometers from the Font de la Canya, a center of goods from the Iberian era that is considered the origin of the vineyard both in the Penedès and in Catalonia.

His first contacts with viticulture took place in Menorca, in the 1970s, but it wasn’t until he took over the family farm that he decided to get involved body and soul in the production of quality wines, while enhancing the characteristics of the landscape and the architecture of the place in a sustainable framework.

The arrival of Carlos Esteva in the Garraf was a complete revolution: he not only applied himself to restoring the noble country house, which was in a dilapidated state, but also regenerated the exploitation of the vineyards.
