Last February 9, 2024, the Can Ràfols dels Caus winery remembered Carlos Esteva with the re-edition of the party “12 authors and their wines” that he himself made special, iconic and artistic until the year 2014.
It has been, for Carlos’ family, the best occasion to pay tribute to him among close, professional friends, admired wineries and relatives. The day, marked by a sunny day, began with a breakfast surrounded by bubbles of their best sparkling wines. At noon, in the bottling room, a documentary was shown that narrates the life of Carlos since his birth, making an emotional review of all the events that led him to create the Can Ràfols dels Caus winery, and his relationship with wine, the landscape of the Massís del Garraf and art. Amid applause, the public went to the boot room where the 12 wineries/authors gave voice to their wines chosen with affection for the occasion:Telmo Rodríguez, Enric Soler, Álvaro Palacios, Roc & Leo Gramona, Ramon Parera, Pedro Ruiz, Fabio Algueira, Juan Manuel Hidalgo, Juan Carlos López de Lacalle & Carlos López de Lacalle, Dirk Niepoort, Thibault – Liger Belair & Jean François Clouet.
To put an end to the day, the Tragaluz Group offered a lunch in the gardens of the estate, paired with wines from the cellar and including bottles of old vintages opened for the occasion.
