Twenty years ago I moved to Can Ràfols dels Caus and began my adventure in wine production. I think I have completed the first cycle, and although this was not my original idea, what better way to celebrate it than with this marvellous wine tasting event.
This will be the first tasting of many of the wines presented here, either because of their vintage or because of their new conception, but all are jewels selected by their makers.
There are many hours of thought behind every good wine maker. Thoughts about the wine, grapes, the land, the elaboration process, the aging of the wine, the casks, but above all, I think the wine itself expresses the feeling of the person that has made it. It is not the same producing wine for the market as making wines that you yourself appreciate.
It gives me great satisfaction to have this opportunity to get to know such splendid people and such excellent wines.
